Ultra quotes prices before taxes and fees and requires payment upfront. The fees are modest and disclosed — roughly $1.25–$2.25/mo depending on term and tier, plus state tax.
The term discount is the single biggest lever on this page. Ultra Unlimited is $49/mo month to month and $34/mo on a 12-month term ($25 for new customers): about a third less. If you're confident you'll stay a year, buying monthly is leaving real money behind.
Read the renewal rate before committing, but only two tiers have one: on the 12-month term only 4GB ($10, then $13) and Ultra Unlimited ($25, then $34) are introductory. The 8GB, 12GB, 24GB and Unlimited+ annual rates are simply the price. Still cheaper than monthly, and not the headline number.
The 24GB tier is the awkward one. At $27/mo annually it costs more than Ultra's own Unlimited introductory rate of $25, so it only makes sense if you want a hard cap rather than unlimited data. It does include 5GB of Mexico roaming that the cheaper tiers don't get.

Which Ultra Mobile plan is the best value?+
The 12GB plan on a 12-month term at $20/mo, which is not an introductory rate. It covers most single-line usage for under half of what Ultra Unlimited costs month-to-month, with identical international calling, roaming and hotspot access.

Roughly half. Ultra Unlimited is $49/mo bought monthly and $25/mo on a 12-month term; 12GB is $29 monthly and $20 annually. Only the 4GB and Unlimited annual rates are introductory, so check the regular renewal rate: annual 12GB renews at $20/mo.
