How Ultra Unlimited+ Scores
We scored Ultra Unlimited+ against the same four pillars we use for every plan. Here’s how it broke down.
Pricing: pay for the hotspot or don't pay at all
Unlimited+ is $59 monthly, $53 on three months, $39.95 on six and $28.70 on twelve. Only the annual figure is defensible; at $59 a month this is more expensive than most postpaid entry plans with better video and priority.
The entire case for this tier is the 25GB hotspot, up from 10GB on Ultra Unlimited, for $4.90/mo more on an annual term. If you tether a laptop regularly that's a bargain. If you don't, you're paying for capacity you'll never touch, and it renews at $41/mo.

How Ultra Unlimited+ compares
Unlimited+ against Unlimited is a single-variable decision: the hotspot.

Final Verdict
The clearest-purpose plan at Ultra: it exists for people who tether. 25GB of dedicated hotspot on T-Mobile's network for $28.70/mo on a year is a strong number, and it comes with the unlimited calling to 90+ countries that runs through the whole lineup. Outside of that use case there's nothing here worth the premium — non-tetherers should take 24GB and pocket the difference. Note that video stays capped around 480p even at the top of the range.

How much is Ultra Unlimited+?
$59/mo month-to-month, $53 on three months, $39.95 on six and $28.70/mo on twelve. The annual rate renews at $41/mo. Taxes and fees are extra.
How much hotspot does it include?
Up to 25GB dedicated, the largest allowance Ultra sells and 2.5x the 10GB on Ultra Unlimited.
Is it worth $4.90 more than Ultra Unlimited?
Only for the hotspot. If you tether regularly, 15GB of extra hotspot for $4.90/mo is good value. If you don't tether, take 24GB or Unlimited instead.
Does the top tier remove the video cap?
No. Video stays capped around 480p across Ultra's lineup, including this plan.
What does it renew at?
$41/mo on the annual term. Still below the $59 month-to-month rate, but a $12.30 step up from the intro price.
