Ultra Unlimited Review
Unlimited data on T-Mobile with a 10GB hotspot and calling to 90+ countries — but the 24GB tier is cheaper and tethers better.

How Ultra Unlimited Scores
We scored Ultra Unlimited against the same four pillars we use for every plan. Here’s how it broke down.
Pricing: unlimited at a price the cap undercuts
Ultra Unlimited is $49 monthly, $44 on three months, $33.15 on six and $23.80 on twelve. The annual rate is the only competitive one — at $49 monthly you can buy Visible+ all-in for $35 on Verizon.
It renews at $34/mo. At that point the 24GB tier's $27 renewal looks better still, which is the central problem with this plan: Ultra's own cheaper tier does most of what it does.

How Ultra Unlimited compares
Ultra Unlimited versus 24GB is the comparison to make before buying, and the cheaper plan holds up well.

Who should skip it
Final Verdict
Unlimited done competently, priced just badly enough against its own sibling to be hard to recommend. On an annual term it costs $4.90/mo more than 24GB while limiting hotspot to 10GB — so the only people it clearly suits are those who genuinely burn more than 24GB and don't tether much. If you tether seriously, Unlimited+ and its 25GB hotspot is the tier that earns the upgrade. If you don't, take 24GB.

How much is Ultra Unlimited?
$49/mo month-to-month, $44 on three months, $33.15 on six and $23.80/mo on twelve. The annual rate renews at $34/mo. Taxes and fees are extra.
Is it really unlimited?
There's no hard cap, but heavy users above roughly 35GB a month can be deprioritized when the network is busy. Video is capped around 480p.
How much hotspot do I get?
Up to 10GB dedicated. If you need more, Ultra Unlimited+ raises it to 25GB for about $4.90/mo more on an annual term.
Should I buy this or the 24GB plan?
24GB unless you consistently exceed it. It's $4.90/mo cheaper on the same term and its hotspot can draw on the full 24GB rather than a 10GB sub-cap.
Does Ultra have a multi-line deal?
Yes — four unlimited lines for $100/mo, or $25 each against $49 for a single monthly line. It applies to single-month unlimited plans.
