What actually separates the tiers
Every plan here rides the same network with unlimited premium data. Hotspot allowance is the real ladder, and the pricing model differs at the bundle.
Rates assume AutoPay. Simplicity is $55/line without it and is flat per line with no multi-line discount. Verizon One requires a new account and your own phone. Ultimate's $95 is the new-customer rate; lines opened before May 2026 pay $90.

What you'll actually pay
Read the pricing model before the price. Simplicity, Plus and Ultimate all quote before taxes and fees, which adds roughly 8–15%. Verizon One at $70 is the only plan here that includes them, which makes it closer to Plus than the headline gap suggests.
AutoPay is not optional in practice. Simplicity is $45/line with AutoPay and $55 without, and the same $10 penalty applies across the lineup. Enrol or budget for the higher number.
Simplicity's flat structure cuts both ways. There's no family discount (four lines is $45 each, $180/mo) but the new-switcher promo drops it to $30/line for 36 months, which is aggressive for Ultra Wideband access.
The honest caveat on all of it: Visible runs the same towers from $25/mo all-in, and Verizon Prepaid starts at $35 with a three-year price lock. Postpaid buys you priority data, retail support and device financing — decide whether you need those before paying double.

Hotspot is 10GB, video streams at up to 720p, and data soft-caps at 500GB. New switchers can get $30/line for 36 months.
How much hotspot do Verizon plans include?+
Simplicity and Verizon One include 10GB of high-speed hotspot, Unlimited Plus includes 30GB and Unlimited Ultimate includes 60GB. If tethering is your main use case, that ladder is the whole reason to move up a tier.
Is there a cheaper way onto Verizon's network?+
Yes, several. Visible is Verizon-owned and starts at $25/mo all-in, Verizon Prepaid starts at $35 with a three-year price lock, and Total Wireless and US Mobile also run on Verizon. The tradeoff is deprioritization, postpaid lines are served first when a tower is busy, plus retail support and device financing.
Does Verizon include taxes and fees?+
Only on Verizon One, which is quoted all-in at $70/mo. Simplicity, Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Ultimate all add taxes and fees on top, typically 8–15% of the plan price.
Is Verizon One worth it?+
If you're a new Verizon customer who needs home internet anyway, yes: $70 all-in for a Simplicity line plus Fios, 5G Home Plus or Home Internet Lite Extra with router and install included is hard to beat separately. It requires a new account and your own phone, and your home internet option is set by your address.
