Patriot Mobile Review: What You're Actually Paying For

The four plans

Patriot Mobile recently rebuilt its lineup around four named tiers. Every plan includes unlimited talk and text, and hotspot data equal to your plan's data allotment.

• Everyday Communicator — 2GB — $25/mo. For calling, texting, and email.
• Connected Every Day — 6GB — $40/mo. Browsing, email, social.
• Casual Streamer — 12GB — $50/mo. Patriot's flagged "Best Value" tier.
• Power User — 45GB — $75/mo. Gaming, streaming, heavy use.

The thing almost nobody else does

Patriot Mobile gives you access to all three national networks — AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon — and you choose which one each line runs on. It claims coverage of 99% of Americans on that basis, and has a ZIP-code checker on the plans page so you can confirm before you buy.

If coverage at your address is poor on one network and fine on another, that choice is worth more than saving $10/mo somewhere else. Patriot also advertises "higher priority premium wireless service," which is an unusual claim for an MVNO — most are deprioritized behind the host carrier's own customers during congestion. Treat it as a claim to test in your first 30 days rather than a guarantee.

US Mobile is the other carrier that does network choice well, and it does it cheaper.

Multi-line discounts are the real lever

The published discounts are steep and they apply per line, which changes the math considerably for families:

• 2 lines — 10% off: $22.50 (2GB), $36 (6GB), $45 (12GB), $67.50 (45GB) per line.
• 3 lines — 15% off: $21.25, $34, $42.50, $63.75 per line.
• 4+ lines — 20% off: $20, $32, $40, $60 per line.

A family of four on the 12GB plan pays $40/line — which is a real improvement on $50, though still above what Verizon-network MVNOs charge for unlimited.

The honest value read

At $25 for 2GB and $50 for 12GB, Patriot Mobile is priced well above the budget MVNO market. Visible sells unlimited on Verizon's full network for around $25. US Mobile's Unlimited Premium — our #1-ranked plan — offers network choice, unlimited data, and better perks for less than Patriot's 12GB tier. On price per gigabyte alone, Patriot loses to most of the field.

That doesn't make it the wrong choice. If you want your phone bill funding organizations you support, that's a value the spreadsheet can't price, and Patriot is unusually transparent about where the money goes. Just go in knowing you're paying a premium for it rather than getting a deal.

Who it's for

• Anyone who specifically wants their wireless spend supporting conservative advocacy — that's the core proposition.
• People in coverage-marginal areas who want to choose their network and switch if it disappoints.
• Families of four or more, where the 20% discount closes much of the price gap.
• Light data users who want US-based support and don't mind paying for it.

Who should skip it

• Value shoppers. 2GB for $25 is roughly triple what US Mobile and Tello charge for comparable low-data plans.
• Heavy data users — 45GB is the ceiling, and $75/mo for it is above market.
• Anyone who wants network choice at the lowest price: US Mobile does the same thing for less.
• Shoppers who need taxes included — all Patriot pricing is plus taxes and fees.
