Spectrum Mobile sells the iPhone Duo with $600 off when you put it on Unlimited Plus Premium, its top plan. Like all Spectrum Mobile plans, it's only for Spectrum Internet customers. If you already have Spectrum at home, it's one of the cheaper ways to get a Duo on Verizon's network without a trade-in. Here's what it takes and how it stacks up against Xfinity Mobile, the other cable carrier selling the Duo.
The Spectrum offer
- $600 off the iPhone Duo.
- Needs a line on Unlimited Plus Premium. Spectrum's site doesn't list a trade-in requirement for this offer. It's the same $600 Spectrum is giving on the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and 17 Pro Max on Premium (the Galaxy S26+ gets $700), so you don't get a bigger discount for buying the most expensive iPhone.
- Spectrum Internet is required for any Spectrum Mobile line.
- Spectrum pays its device offers as bill credits over 36 months, and disconnecting or upgrading early forfeits what's left. The $600 Duo offer's own terms aren't on Spectrum's deals page, so confirm the term and any trade-in requirement at checkout.
What Unlimited Plus Premium includes
| Unlimited Plus Premium | |
|---|---|
| Price | $50/mo per extra line; see our Spectrum guide for the full line pricing |
| Premium data | No limit listed |
| Hotspot | 50GB high-speed |
| International | 215+ countries included |
| Anytime Upgrade | Yes |
| Extra credits | Up to $10/mo off a financed phone, $10/mo off a smartwatch line |
Each Spectrum tier is $10 a month more, so Premium is $20 a month more per line than basic Unlimited: about $720 over 36 months. Premium also takes up to $10 a month off a phone you finance with Spectrum, for 36 months (up to $360), so the real extra is closer to $360. Spectrum hasn't said whether that credit stacks with the $600 Duo offer. Either way, the $600 comes out ahead of the extra plan cost, and more so if you'd use Premium's 50GB hotspot, international roaming or Anytime Upgrade.
What you'd pay over 36 months
| Spectrum, $600 off | Spectrum, unlocked from Apple | |
|---|---|---|
| Phone (256GB) | $1,399 ($38.86/mo) | $1,999 up front |
| Plan, one line | Unlimited Plus Premium, $60/mo | Unlimited, $40/mo |
| Plan over 36 months | $2,160 | $1,440 |
| Total, 36 months | $3,559 | $3,439 |
| Premium phone credit, if it stacks | Up to -$360 | n/a |
Without the Premium phone credit, the $600 deal costs about $120 more over three years than buying unlocked and using basic Unlimited, but you spread the phone cost over 36 months and get Premium's 50GB hotspot, international roaming and Anytime Upgrade. If the $10 credit stacks with the $600, the deal comes out about $240 ahead.
Spectrum vs Xfinity for the iPhone Duo
Both are cable-company carriers on Verizon's network that need their own home internet. For the full picture on each, see our Spectrum Mobile plans guide and Xfinity Mobile review.

- You have a phone worth trading in: Xfinity, if you have Xfinity Internet. Up to $1,000 is the bigger saving.
- No trade-in: Spectrum's $600 beats Xfinity's $400.
- You can't get either: Verizon offers up to $1,000 with a trade-in, or about $72 a month for phone and plan on Simplicity with no trade-in.
Buying unlocked and using Spectrum
You can also buy the Duo from Apple and bring it to Spectrum on the basic $40 Unlimited plan (taxes included). The Duo is eSIM only, and Spectrum supports eSIM, so you can set it up without visiting a store. You won't get the $600, but you won't be tied to Premium either. New Spectrum Internet customers get the first Unlimited line free for a year (12 months of bill credits; devices not included), and Spectrum offers up to $500 a line to help you switch.
Before you order
- Spectrum Mobile uses Verizon's network, with Spectrum's own 5G in some cities. Check coverage where you live and work.
- Read the screen-cracking news first. Apple is replacing affected Duos for free; know your return window before the box arrives.
- Leaving Spectrum Mobile or paying off the phone early ends the remaining credits.
