The three plans
- By the Gig — $20/mo per GB ($5 per extra GB, reduced speed after 5GB/line): for light, Wi-Fi-first users. Wrong plan if you stream on cellular — past 3–4GB/month, Unlimited is cheaper.
- Unlimited — $30/mo: the pick for most people. Unlimited data with reduced speeds after 30GB/line (well above typical 8–20GB use), 5GB hotspot.
- Unlimited Plus — $40/mo: 50GB threshold, 10GB hotspot, anytime device upgrades, and roaming in 190+ countries. Worth the $10 for heavy users, frequent tetherers, and travelers.

Every plan is priced per line with no family-plan tiers — four Unlimited lines is simply $120/mo. Mix plans freely on one account: a heavy user on Plus, average users on Unlimited, a Wi-Fi-bound kid on By the Gig. Each line carries its own $20 activation fee.
The requirement behind every plan
None of these prices stand alone — Spectrum Mobile requires an active Spectrum Internet subscription (from ~$50/mo). For Spectrum Internet households the value is real; for everyone else, a standalone Verizon-network MVNO like Visible, US Mobile, or Total Wireless makes more sense.
