H2O Wireless Plans

Three separate lineups — monthly, annual and multi-line — priced so differently that the same service can cost $5 or $60 a month depending on which page you land on.

H2O Wireless runs on a nationwide 5G network with genuinely good throughput: 152–472 Mbps on 5G+ and 21–37 ms latency. What makes it worth a close look is international calling, included on every monthly plan — unlimited talk and text to 100+ countries from the U.S., plus a roaming credit that works across 80+ destinations.

The complication is that H2O sells three parallel lineups. The monthly plans run $20 to $60 with a 10% AutoPay discount. The annual plans start at $5/mo but strip out the international features entirely. The multi-line promotion puts unlimited at $25 per line. Which one you should buy depends entirely on how many lines you need and whether you call abroad.

The annual plans

H2O's annual plans are dramatically cheaper per month, and the reason is spelled out in the terms: they exclude the international calling and roaming that define the monthly lineup. Twelve months are paid upfront and are non-refundable.

Plan Annual price Per month Data per cycle International
Annual 60 Annual price$60 Per month$5.00 Data per cycleTalk & text only InternationalNot included
Annual 100 Annual price$100 Per month$8.33 Data per cycle3GB InternationalNot included
Annual 150 Annual price$150 Per month$12.50 Data per cycle5GB InternationalNot included
Annual 300 Annual price$300 Per month$25.00 Data per cycle20GB InternationalNot included

Annual plans provide 360 days of service, renewing every 30 days for 11 periods. They are not eligible for AutoPay, family or multi-line discounts, and the advance payment is non-refundable in whole or in part.

What it really costs

The pricing ladder has a clear mistake in it. The $40 plan is capped at 20GB; the $30 plan is unlimited with 30GB at full speed. There is no reading of the specifications where paying $40 makes sense.

AutoPay takes 10% off every monthly plan — $18, $27, $36, $45 and $54 respectively. Taxes and fees add roughly $1.60 to $3.00 on top before state tax.

The annual plans look like a different carrier's pricing, and in feature terms they are. $60 buys a full year of talk and text — $5/mo — but H2O's terms confirm the annual plans exclude free international calling and international roaming, which is the main reason to choose H2O in the first place.

Multi-line is the strongest offer here. $25 per line for unlimited with 60GB matches the annual plans' value without giving up the international features. The conditions are strict: new lines only, all activated together, and cancelling one line ends the promotion for the others.

H2O Wireless is a good fit if…

You call internationally — unlimited talk and text to 100+ countries is on every monthly plan.
You travel; plans work in 80+ destinations with a roaming credit of $5 to $20 by tier.
You're setting up two to four lines — $25 each for unlimited is among the best family pricing anywhere.
You want a very cheap backup line and don't need data or international: $60 buys a full year.
You want no overage charges — H2O reduces speed rather than billing you or cutting you off.

Look elsewhere if…

You want all-in pricing; taxes and fees are extra on every plan.
You want the annual price and the international features — the annual plans exclude them.
You need retail support; H2O is online and phone only.
You're an existing customer hoping for the multi-line rate, which is new lines only.
You want guaranteed full-speed data at all times; H2O may slow speeds when the network is busy.

Frequently asked questions

Which H2O Wireless plan is the best value?

The $30 monthly plan — $27 with AutoPay. It's unlimited with 30GB at full speed, includes a 5GB hotspot, unlimited calling to 100+ countries and a $10 roaming credit. Note that it costs less than the $40 plan while offering more, since the $40 tier is capped at 20GB.

Are H2O Wireless annual plans worth it?

They're far cheaper per month — $5 to $25 against $20 to $60 — but H2O's terms confirm the 12-month plans don't include free international calling or international roaming from Mexico and Canada. If those features are why you're considering H2O, the monthly plans are the ones to compare.

How much is H2O Wireless multi-line?

$25 per line: $50 for two lines, $75 for three and $100 for four. Every line gets unlimited data with 60GB at full speed, a 5GB hotspot and the international features. All lines must be new and activated together on one account, and cancelling one line ends the promotion for the rest.

Does H2O Wireless throttle data?

Speeds are reduced once you pass your plan's high-speed allowance — 3GB, 20GB, 30GB or 60GB depending on tier — until the plan renews. H2O says it never switches data off and there are no overage fees, and it may also slow speeds temporarily when the network is busy.

What international features does H2O Wireless include?

On monthly plans, unlimited talk and text to 100+ countries from the U.S., an international talk credit of $1.50 to $5 per month (doubled for the first six months for new customers), roaming in 80+ destinations and a roaming credit of $5 to $20 by tier. The $50 and $60 plans add unlimited calling to Pakistan.

Does H2O Wireless have an AutoPay discount?

Yes — 10% per line on monthly plans, which brings $20 to $18, $30 to $27, $40 to $36, $50 to $45 and $60 to $54. Annual and multi-line plans are not eligible for AutoPay.
