Red Pocket's distinguishing feature is CoverageGenius: rather than reselling one network, it lets you pick AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon at signup. Nothing else at this price gives you that choice, and it removes the usual MVNO gamble of committing to whichever carrier the brand happens to resell.
The lineup is deliberately small — three tiers at $10, $20 and $30 — and every one includes unlimited international calling and roaming in 60+ countries. Red Pocket states its rates do not increase, which matters more than it sounds in a category built on promotional pricing that quietly steps up.

Monthly versus annual
Red Pocket sells the same three plans monthly or annually. Unlike Ultra Mobile or Mint, the annual saving here is small — the first-year promotion does most of the work, and the renewal rate is only about 8% under paying monthly.
First-year annual prices reflect the current promotion (4, 3 and 2 months free respectively). Renewal is what you pay from year two onward. Prices exclude taxes and fees.
What it really costs
Red Pocket's prices are the lowest in this batch by a distance. $1.00 per gigabyte on Plus and $0.60 per gigabyte on Premium's 50GB allowance are rates the mainstream prepaid brands don't approach.
The annual plans are worth less than they look. Renewal works out to $9.17, $18.33 and $27.50 a month — roughly 8% off monthly. Compare that with Ultra Mobile, where annual is close to half the monthly rate. The real saving here is the first-year promotion, not the term.
"No price increases ever" is Red Pocket's own claim rather than a contractual price lock, but it's a meaningful position in a category where the advertised rate is usually promotional. There's no step-up after month three or twelve to plan around.
What you're trading away is scale. No retail stores, no device promotions, no streaming bundles — and taxes and fees on top of every price. If those matter, Cricket and Metro cost more but include taxes and have somewhere to walk into.
