Pricing: a real step up, and a real step above it

$40, or $36 with AutoPay. Against the $30 tier that buys 10GB more full-speed data, a hotspot that goes from 5GB to 10GB, and international credits that double: $10 talk and $20 roaming.

The catch is the tier above. $50 adds another 20GB of full speed and a 15GB hotspot for the same $10 increment, so the ladder gets better as you climb. This is the middle rung, and middle rungs are rarely the value pick.

A legitimate tier, which is a change from H2O's older lineup. Unlimited data with 40GB at full speed and a 10GB hotspot for $36 on AutoPay is competitive prepaid pricing, and the doubled international credits matter if you call abroad. Whether it is the right tier depends on tethering: under 5GB a month and the $30 plan already covers you, over 10GB and the $50 tier's 15GB hotspot is the better $10.

Consider instead: H2O Wireless $50. The same $10 step again buys 20GB more full-speed data and a 15GB hotspot, the better value if you tether at all.
