Xfinity Mobile is an MVNO on Verizon's network, sold only to Xfinity Internet customers. That eligibility rule is the single most important thing about its deals: everything below is unavailable if you don't already buy home internet from Comcast. If you do, the pricing is among the most aggressive on Verizon's towers.
The plans the deals attach to
- Xfinity Mobile Select — $30/mo for one line with Xfinity Internet. Unlimited data with 30GB of priority, then 1.5 Mbps. Hotspot is unlimited at 600 Kbps. Video streams at 480p.
- Xfinity Mobile Plus — $45/mo for one line. Unlimited data with 100GB of priority on Verizon's network, 30GB of high-speed hotspot, 4K video, plus a twice-yearly Elite Upgrade and 5GB of Mexico and Canada data.
How to judge an Xfinity phone deal
- Device offers arrive as bill credits spread over 24 months, not as money off at checkout. Leaving early forfeits the remaining credits.
- Credits are usually tied to a specific plan tier — dropping from Plus to Select mid-term can void them.
- Switcher and port-in credits generally require keeping the line active for a defined period.
- BYOD is the honest comparison point. If you already own your phone, the plan price is the whole deal, and it's a good one.
Where it wins and loses
- Wins: Verizon coverage at MVNO pricing, real priority data on Plus (100GB), 4K streaming, and bundled billing with internet.
- Wins: 20M+ Xfinity WiFi hotspots with PowerBoost, which offloads a meaningful amount of usage in Comcast markets.
- Loses: the Xfinity Internet requirement. Cancel internet and the mobile pricing goes with it.
- Loses: taxes and fees are extra, so it isn't all-in the way Visible and Total MAX are.
- Loses: Select's 480p video and 600 Kbps hotspot are genuinely restrictive if you tether or watch on cellular.
The alternatives to price against
On the same Verizon network without an internet requirement: Visible+ at $35/mo all-in, Total MAX 5G BYO at $25/mo with unlimited hotspot, and US Mobile Unlimited Premium at $32.50/mo with a 50GB hotspot. If you'd keep Xfinity Internet anyway, Select at $30 or a free first year is hard to beat. If the internet is negotiable, price the standalone options first.
