Verizon Is Giving Away Free Tickets to Every NFL Home Game

A week-long takeover of the Verizon Shine drops in the My Verizon App, running August 31 through September 4. The tickets are the headline, and they are claimed first-come, first-served in hourly waves — so the timing matters more than anything else here.

The takeover runs August 31 through September 4 in the My Verizon App.

Verizon announced on August 27 that it is turning its Verizon Shine loyalty drops over to the NFL for a week, starting Monday, August 31 at 1:00 PM ET. Everything happens inside the My Verizon App. The centerpiece is a giveaway of free tickets to every domestic regular-season home game on the NFL calendar, released in hourly waves on September 2 and 3. Because the drops are first-come, first-served, the practical question is not what is available but when to open the app.

How the ticket drops work

On September 2 and 3, Verizon releases free tickets to every single NFL domestic home game of the regular season, in hourly waves beginning at 11:00 AM local time. Claims go through Verizon Shine Local Passes in the My Verizon App, first-come, first-served.

The eligibility rule that decides this for you
Only customers with a billing address in the corresponding region can claim a given team's tickets. If you live in one market and follow a team in another, the app will not let you claim theirs. Verizon says to check the app to confirm eligibility.

One gap in the published calendar: the September 2 wave covers September and October games, and the September 3 wave covers December and January. November is not named in either. Verizon's announcement does not say which drop covers those games, or whether they are covered at all.

The 22 VIP experiences

Entry opens August 31 through Verizon Shine in the My Verizon App. There are 22 custom-curated packages: one winner's-choice flyaway, plus tailored experiences with 21 teams.

  • Winner's choice — one winner and a guest get an all-expenses-paid trip to see their favorite team at any domestic regular-season game in the U.S.
  • Denver Broncos — skydiving with the Broncos Thunderstorm team, breakfast with Hall of Fame alumni, VIP game day passes.
  • San Francisco 49ers — a Napa Valley hot air balloon ride, a winery tour, and fine dining before a home game.
  • Los Angeles Chargers — a cooking class with Wolfgang Puck inside the training facility.
  • Indianapolis Colts — a weekend with a Colts legend, access at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, upscale dining, and a VIP game day.
  • Philadelphia Eagles — a private dinner with an Eagles player, a stadium tour, and a team store shopping spree.

Verizon has not published the remaining 16 team packages outside the app. The full list is in Verizon Shine.

The perks that don't require winning anything

  • NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube for the 2026 regular season, on select wireless and home internet plans — every out-of-market Sunday afternoon game.
  • Fast-pass Verizon entry lanes at select stadiums.
  • Team store discounts, concession offers, and ticket presales.
  • Free mobile phone charging stations at stadium events nationwide.

The Sunday Ticket benefit is the one with real money attached, and it is conditional on your plan. Verizon's wording is “select wireless and home internet plans,” without naming them — so confirm your own tier in the app before counting on it.

How to claim

Download or open the My Verizon App and tap Verizon Shine, starting August 31 at 1:00 PM ET. That is the single entry point for the sweepstakes, the daily drops, and the local ticket passes.

Verizon Shine sits inside Verizon's broader loyalty program, which also waives activation and upgrade fees and pays Verizon Dollars — 3% back each month on mobile bills.
