Cricket Wireless APN Settings

Cricket's APN is a three-letter value that's easy to mistype. The full settings for data and picture messages, and the fixes to try first.

Cricket runs on AT&T's network but uses its own APN. Phones bought from Cricket set it automatically; unlocked phones sometimes need it entered by hand.

Key takeaways
Cricket's APN is ndo.
MMSC: http://mmsc.aiowireless.net, proxy proxy.aiowireless.net, port 80.
MCC 310, MNC 150.
Restart with the SIM in before editing anything.
Persistent failures usually mean a locked phone or missing bands.

Check these first

  1. Restart the phone with the SIM or eSIM installed. Most phones request carrier settings again on boot.
  2. Confirm mobile data is on, airplane mode is off, and the right line is set for data on a dual-SIM phone.
  3. Make sure activation finished in the carrier's app. A pending activation looks like an APN problem.

The aiowireless addresses are correct: they date from Aio Wireless, which AT&T merged into Cricket. If picture messages still fail, some phones work with http://mmsc.cricketwireless.net and proxy.cricketwireless.net instead.

Where to enter them

  • Android: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Access Point Names, then add a new APN. On Samsung: Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
  • iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network. This menu only appears when the carrier allows it; most iPhones set the APN automatically.
  • Leave any field not listed blank, save, select the new APN, and restart.
Picture messages failing but data works?
That almost always means the MMSC or MMS proxy is mistyped. Re-enter those two fields exactly, including http://, with no spaces.

If it still won't connect

Reset network settings, restart, and try again. If data still fails, the phone may be locked to another carrier or missing AT&T's bands. Check the lock status before spending more time on APN fields.

Is Cricket still the right plan?

Cricket's prices run $15 to $55/mo. See how it compares with other AT&T-network plans.
