AT&T's 55+ Plan Now Requires a Home Internet Bundle

Unlimited talk, text and data across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, on up to 10 lines. The catch AT&T buries in its support page: the discount is conditional on buying home internet too.

AT&T's 55+ plan gives anyone 55 or older unlimited talk, text and data on up to 10 lines. The condition that decides whether it applies to you is not on the plan page but in AT&T's support documentation: the discount requires you to buy AT&T Fiber or AT&T Internet Air alongside the wireless service. We corrected this entry on September 3, 2026 after checking AT&T's own page.

What the plan includes

Unlimited calls, texts and data in and between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, plus unlimited texting from the U.S. to more than 200 countries. Each line gets 10GB of hotspot data, after which speeds are capped at 128Kbps. Streaming is standard definition. Activation and upgrade fees are credited back within three bill periods, and AT&T ActiveArmor is included.

The bundle requirement

AT&T states plainly that you must sign up for both AT&T Wireless and AT&T Fiber or AT&T Internet Air to get the 55+ discount. Enrolment runs through AT&T's Signature Savings age-verification hub, and you also need AutoPay and paperless billing set up with a bank account. AT&T may ask you to upload proof of age within 14 days, and the discount can take up to three bill periods to appear.

AT&T's own pages disagree with each other
AT&T's legal terms page still describes a Florida-only version of this plan with a maximum of two phones. Its support page, last updated May 15, 2026, describes a plan supporting up to 10 phones with no state restriction. We treat the support page as current and the terms page as describing the retired tier — but confirm your own eligibility before committing.

What it costs

AT&T does not publish a standalone single-line 55+ price on its support page, so we are not stating one. Our January write-up quoted $40 for one line and $35 per line for two; those figures described the earlier plan and we have withdrawn them rather than carry them forward. Price the bundle at att.com before assuming a monthly figure.
