Simplicity Pro is the device add-on for Verizon's flat-rate Simplicity plan.

Verizon is selling the iPhone 18 Pro to people who switch for $80 a month on Simplicity Pro, with AutoPay and the switcher discount, plus taxes and fees. No trade-in is needed, and you can move to a new iPhone every year by returning the one you have in good working condition.

Key takeaways
Simplicity Pro is $80/mo for switchers: a $30 Simplicity line plus a $50 iPhone 18 Pro charge, before taxes and fees.
No trade-in is needed, and you can upgrade every year by returning the phone in good working condition.
Standard financing on the same phone is $33.33/mo, so the yearly upgrade costs about $16.67/mo more.
Existing Verizon customers pay $45 for the line, which makes Simplicity Pro $95/mo.

How the $80 breaks down

PartMonthly cost
Simplicity line, with AutoPay and $15 switcher discount$30
Simplicity Pro device charge (iPhone 18 Pro)$50
Total, before taxes and fees$80
Verizon covers the phone's cost with monthly credits over 36 months.

The Simplicity line includes unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband data, 10GB of premium hotspot data and roaming in Canada and Mexico. Verizon Loyalty, which is free to join, waives activation and upgrade fees of up to $40 per device and pays 3% back each month in Verizon Dollars.

Simplicity Pro vs buying the phone

Simplicity ProStandard financing
Plan$30$30
iPhone 18 Pro$50$33.33 for 36 months
Monthly total$80$63.33
New iPhone every yearYes, return the old oneNo
You own the phoneNo, while you keep upgradingYes, after 36 months
Both columns assume the $30 switcher price for the line.

The yearly upgrade costs about $16.67 a month more than financing the same phone. That's around $200 a year to always have the newest model. If you usually keep a phone two or three years, standard financing costs less and leaves you with a phone you own.

The $30 line price is a switcher deal
The $15 switcher discount applies to lines ported in from another carrier. Existing Verizon customers pay $45 a line on Simplicity, so Simplicity Pro would be $95 a month for them.
