The catch is the flat rate: there's no multi-line discount. Verizon's own plan builder quotes $30/mo at one line and $360/mo at twelve — the same $30 per line either way. At the standard $45, that flatness costs families money: four lines is $180/mo, and myPlan Welcome/Plus plus the AT&T and T-Mobile equivalents can undercut it.
On the switcher promo the same flatness works for you. Four ported lines at $30 each is $120/mo before taxes, which is competitive with any postpaid family plan on any network — the condition is that every line is a new port.
