UScellular Coverage Map: Where to Check Coverage Now

UScellular's customers moved to T-Mobile after the August 2025 sale, and so did its coverage. The map to check now is T-Mobile's, and the places to be careful are the rural areas UScellular used to cover best.

T-Mobile's own graphic for the UScellular move. The map shows 4G LTE and 5G Extended Range coverage.

T-Mobile bought substantially all of UScellular's wireless operations on August 1, 2025. The customers, most of the stores and about 30% of UScellular's spectrum went to T-Mobile. The towers stayed with the old company, now called Array Digital Infrastructure. So a UScellular coverage map in 2026 means T-Mobile's map, checked carefully in the places UScellular used to serve.

Key takeaways
UScellular's wireless business became part of T-Mobile on August 1, 2025.
The coverage map to check now is T-Mobile's, plus the FCC National Broadband Map.
T-Mobile took about 30% of UScellular's spectrum; the towers went to Array Digital Infrastructure.
Rural coverage is the area to test before relying on the map.
Metro, Mint and US Mobile use the same network from $20–$30/mo.

Which map to use

  • T-Mobile's coverage map: the network former UScellular customers are moving onto. Check your address at street level.
  • The FCC National Broadband Map (broadbandmap.fcc.gov): carrier filings under the same rules, refreshed every six months. The fairest way to compare T-Mobile and Verizon at one address.
  • UScellular's own map: may still load, but it describes a network that is being folded into T-Mobile's. Use it only as a record of where you had service before.

What changed for former UScellular areas

UScellular was strongest in smaller towns and rural areas, especially in the Midwest and northern New England. T-Mobile took only part of UScellular's spectrum, so coverage in those areas depends on how T-Mobile has built out its own network there. In many places service is the same or better. In some rural spots, indoor signal can be weaker than it was.

Test rural addresses before you commit
If you lived well outside a city on UScellular, don't assume T-Mobile's map tells the whole story. Low-band signal can show as covered and still be weak indoors. A free trial on T-Mobile's network, or on Verizon's for comparison, answers the question at your house.

If you're a former UScellular customer

  1. Check T-Mobile's map and the FCC map at home, work and your usual drives.
  2. Compare the plan T-Mobile moved you to against cheaper plans on the same network.
  3. If coverage got worse, compare Verizon at the same addresses before switching.

Frequently asked questions

Does UScellular still have a coverage map? +
UScellular's wireless customers moved to T-Mobile after the 2025 sale, so the network that matters now is T-Mobile's. Check T-Mobile's map and the FCC National Broadband Map for your address.
Is UScellular coverage the same as T-Mobile now? +
Former UScellular customers are being moved onto T-Mobile's network. Coverage is mostly the same or better, but T-Mobile took only part of UScellular's spectrum, so some rural areas are worth testing.
Who owns UScellular's towers? +
Array Digital Infrastructure, the company UScellular became after selling its wireless business. It leases tower space and does not sell phone service.
Is Verizon better than T-Mobile in former UScellular areas? +
In some rural areas, yes. Compare both on the FCC map at your address, and run a free trial if you can.
