What's changing
| Line type | Now | From October 12 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Voice line | $4.49/mo | $5.49/mo | +$1.00 |
| Mobile internet line | $2.10/mo | $2.60/mo | +$0.50 |
This is the third increase in 18 months. The voice-line fee was $3.49 until April 2025, then $3.99, then $4.49 from January 21, 2026. Over that time it has gone up $2 a month per line.
Why the price guarantee doesn't help
T-Mobile's 5-Year Price Guarantee on the Experience plans covers the monthly price of talk, text and 5G data. Taxes and fees are excluded, and this fee is one of them. It isn't a government tax: T-Mobile sets it and keeps it, and describes it as recovering the cost of government programs, charges from other carriers for delivering calls, and some network costs. So your plan price stays the same and your bill still goes up.
Older T-Mobile plans that include taxes and fees in the price aren't affected. Every current postpaid plan bills the fee on top.
What each plan costs from October 12
| Plan (1 line, AutoPay) | Plan price | With the new fee |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials Saver | $50/mo | $55.49/mo |
| Experience More | $85/mo | $90.49/mo |
| Experience Beyond | $100/mo | $105.49/mo |
On a four-line account the fee goes from $17.96 to $21.96 a month, or $48 more a year.
