Simple Mobile Plans
Five plans on Verizon's network, all built around international calling. The capped tiers are priced well — but read what happens when you run out of data.
Simple Mobile is another Verizon Value brand, and its whole proposition is international. Every plan includes unlimited calling to at least 100 countries, unlimited global text, a worldwide calling credit and international roaming — inclusions that most carriers sell as add-ons.
There's one thing to understand before buying a capped tier. When you exhaust your high-speed allowance, Simple Mobile drops you to 2G rather than a usable reduced speed. At 2G, streaming and most apps stop working properly. The unlimited tiers avoid this entirely, which changes the value calculation.

What it really costs
The 2G throttle is the single most important fact here. On every capped tier, exhausting your allowance drops you to 2G — not a reduced-but-usable speed. Simple Mobile's own terms note that streaming audio and video may stop functioning. Buy more data than you think you need, or buy unlimited.
AutoPay saves roughly 5% across the range — $23.75, $28.50 and $37.50 on the capped tiers, $57 on Unlimited World+. The $50 Unlimited World plan's $45 rate is promotional and only runs for the first three months.
Taxes and fees are extra and scale with the plan: about $1.72 on the $25 plan and $4.12 on the $60 plan before state tax.
International inclusions vary by which network your SIM is on. The $50 and $60 plans reach 200+ countries only on Verizon-network SIMs; other SIMs get 125+. Simple Mobile tells you to check your ICCID — Verizon SIMs begin 89148.

Frequently asked questions
What network does Simple Mobile use?
Verizon's. Simple Mobile is owned by Verizon Value, Inc. Typical speeds are 20–148 Mbps on the capped plans and 35–148 Mbps on Unlimited World, rising to 163–622 Mbps on Unlimited World+ where 5G Ultra Wideband is available.
What happens when I use all my Simple Mobile data?
On the capped plans your speed drops to 2G for the rest of the cycle. Simple Mobile's terms note that at 2G speeds some data applications such as streaming audio or video may be affected. There's no overage charge, but the service becomes very limited — which is why the unlimited tiers are worth considering.
Which Simple Mobile plan is the best value?
The $40 plan at 30GB — $37.50 with AutoPay, or $1.25 per gigabyte. It's the cheapest tier with enough headroom that most people won't hit the 2G throttle, and it includes calling to 125+ countries plus 5GB of international roaming data.
Does Simple Mobile include international calling?
Yes, on every plan — 100+ countries at $25, 125+ on the $30 and $40 plans, and 200+ on the unlimited tiers when activated on a Verizon-network SIM. All plans include unlimited global text and a worldwide calling credit of $10 to $20 depending on tier.
What's the difference between Unlimited World and Unlimited World+?
Unlimited World+ at $60 adds 5G Ultra Wideband, 720p video instead of 480p, a 30GB hotspot instead of 20GB, roaming in 140+ countries instead of 17, 10GB of roaming data instead of 5GB, a $20 calling credit instead of $15, and 50GB of cloud storage.
Does Simple Mobile have an AutoPay discount?
Yes, roughly 5% on most plans — $23.75 on the $25 plan, $28.50 on the $30, $37.50 on the $40 and $57 on the $60. The $50 Unlimited World plan's $45 AutoPay rate applies for the first three months only.
