Visible and Boost Mobile both sell unlimited data for $25 a month. The difference is in what's around that price. Visible's $25 includes taxes and an unlimited hotspot, on Verizon's network. Boost's $25 is before taxes and has no hotspot, but Boost says the price stays $25 for as long as you keep the line. Boost runs on AT&T's network, with T-Mobile in some areas.

Hotspot
This decides it for a lot of people. Visible's $25 plan includes unlimited hotspot at 5 Mbps, enough for email, browsing and a video call. Boost's $25 plan has no hotspot included. To hotspot on Boost, the cheapest way is Unlimited+ at $50 plus taxes, which is double the price.
Taxes included, on Verizon's network, with unlimited hotspot at 5 Mbps. Month to month, no contract, 15-day free trial.

The price promise
Boost says its $25 Unlimited plan stays at $25 for as long as the line stays active, and it gives 30GB of premium data before any slowdown. Visible doesn't promise a price, though $25 has been its base price for years. If you hate price hikes and don't tether, Boost's promise is worth something.
Taxes
Visible's $25 is the whole bill. Boost adds taxes and fees, which usually adds a few dollars a month depending on your state. Over a year that's often $30 to $60.
Network
Visible uses Verizon's network. Boost runs mainly on AT&T's, with access to T-Mobile's in some areas. Check both maps for where you live and work; more in what network Boost uses.
Stores and phones
Boost has stores and dealers and regularly discounts phones for people who switch. Visible is online only and sells phones at full price, sometimes with a gift card. Both work with eSIM on most newer phones.
Families
Visible is $25 a line with no multi-line discount. Boost's $25 plan has no multi-line discount either; Unlimited+ and Premium take $20 off two lines.
The bottom line
Pick the network first. If both work, Visible is the better $25 plan for most people because taxes and an unlimited hotspot are included. Boost is the better pick if AT&T covers you better, you never tether and you want the $25 price locked.
