Above about 12GB, the $40 plan's 20GB and ID protection is better value per gigabyte. The $30 plan is right for consistent 7–10GB users who don't tether and want to stay on Verizon's network cheaply.

Consider instead: Visible+ Plan. At $30 you're within touching distance of unlimited. Visible runs on the same Verizon network with unlimited data and taxes included, which suits anyone whose usage isn't predictable.
