How Page Plus $39.95 Scores
We scored Page Plus $39.95 against the same four pillars we use for every plan. Here’s how it broke down.
Pricing: squeezed from both sides
$39.95, or $36 with Auto Refill, for 8GB works out to about $4.99 per gigabyte — well above what Red Pocket ($1.00) or Tracfone ($2.00) charge for comparable allowances.
The pressure is internal too. $55 buys fully unlimited 4G LTE with no 2G cliff, which for a $15 difference is the more coherent purchase if you're already at this level of usage.

How Page Plus $39.95 compares
At this price the question is whether to remove the ceiling altogether.

Final Verdict
A reasonable middle tier that's hard to recommend on price. 8GB with unlimited talk, text and international texting is a fine package, but the per-gigabyte rate is uncompetitive and the plan sits awkwardly between a cheaper tier that covers light use and an unlimited tier that removes the ceiling entirely. Buy it only if 8GB is precisely your number.

What does the Page Plus $39.95 plan include?
Unlimited talk, unlimited national and international texting, 8GB of high-speed data and a $10 international calling credit, over 30 days on Verizon's network. Auto Refill brings it to $36.
Is the $39.95 plan good value?
Not on data. At about $4.99 per gigabyte it's well above Red Pocket's $1.00 and Tracfone's $2.00 for similar allowances. Its strengths are the international inclusions and Verizon coverage with very low fees.
Should I buy the $39.95 or $55 plan?
If you regularly approach 8GB, the $55 plan is the better purchase — it's fully unlimited 4G LTE with no 2G fallback for $15 more, or $50 with Auto Refill.
Does the $39.95 plan include hotspot?
No. None of the Page Plus monthly plans or pay-as-you-go cards include mobile hotspot data.
