Mint Mobile Prices After 12 Months, and After the Promo

Mint's new-customer price ends with your first term. Here's what every plan costs when you renew, and how to keep the bill as low as possible.

Mint Mobile's best prices are for new customers, and they last for your first 3, 6 or 12 months only. After that, you renew at Mint's regular price, which depends on the plan and how many months you pay for upfront. The short version: Unlimited costs $30 a month on a 12-month term, $35 on 6 months and $40 on 3 months, plus taxes and fees.

Key takeaways
After the first term, Mint Unlimited is $30 a month on 12 months, $35 on 6 and $40 on 3.
Existing customers pay regular prices; promotions are for new customers.
Renewing on a 12-month term is the cheapest way to stay.
Taxes and fees are extra on every Mint plan.

So the length you pick matters as much as the plan. Unlimited on a 3-month term costs $120 a year more than on a 12-month term.

What happens when your first term ends

  • Mint renews you automatically on the same plan and term, at the regular price, if Auto-Recharge is on.
  • You can change plan or term before you renew, in the Mint app or on Mint's website.
  • New-customer deals don't apply to renewals. That includes the 10th-anniversary offer below.

Prices for existing customers

Existing customers pay the regular prices in the table above. Mint's promotions, such as $15 a month on any plan earlier this year, are for new customers only. Mint says it has never raised plan rates for its customers, so the regular prices have stayed the same.

The cheapest way to stay is to renew on a 12-month term. If you're on a 3-month Unlimited plan at $40 a month, moving to 12 months brings it to $30.

The 10th-anniversary deal

For its 10th anniversary in October, Mint advertised six months of any plan, including Unlimited, for $10 a month ($60 upfront) for new customers. Check Mint's deals page for whether it's still running. When the six months end, you renew at the regular 6-month price, so Unlimited would go to $35 a month, or $30 if you switch to a 12-month term.

What taxes add

Mint's prices don't include taxes and fees. Expect a few dollars a month on top, depending on your state. If you want a price with taxes included, Visible's Unlimited plan is $25 a month all-in on Verizon's network.
