Pricing: all-in at twenty-five dollars

$25 with AutoPay, taxes and fees included. Against Straight Talk's StraightSAVINGS at $25 plus tax (roughly $28–30 effective), Metro is genuinely cheaper as well as simpler.

The first month is $30, then the AutoPay rate applies. The five-year price guarantee covers talk, text and 5G data, with exclusions.

Who should choose Metro $25

You want the cheapest all-in unlimited plan on T-Mobile's network
You never tether
You want a store you can walk into
You want a price fixed for five years

Who should skip it

You tether at all — the $30 tier adds 10GB of hotspot
You watch video on cellular and want better than SD
You regularly exceed 35GB a month
You won't enrol in AutoPay

Final Verdict

A strong entry plan with one significant hole. Unlimited 5G on T-Mobile's network for $25 all-in, fixed for five years and backed by retail stores, is a better package than most $25 plans manage. But there's no hotspot whatsoever — and Metro's own $30 tier includes 10GB, more than the $50 plan does. If you tether even occasionally, spend the extra five dollars.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Metro $25 plan include hotspot?

No. The $25 plan includes no mobile hotspot data at all. Metro's $30 web-exclusive tier includes 10GB, which is more hotspot than the $50 plan's 8GB.

Are taxes included in Metro's $25 plan?

Yes. Metro includes taxes and fees in its advertised prices, so $25 with AutoPay is what you pay. The first month costs $30.

Does the Metro $25 plan throttle data?

Data is unlimited, but above roughly 35GB a month you may see slower speeds for the rest of the cycle when the network is busy. Metro also notes it may be slower than T-Mobile's own customers during congestion.

What is Metro's 5-year price guarantee?

Metro commits to holding your rate on talk, text and 5G data for five years. Exclusions apply, and it covers the service rather than promotions or add-ons.
