The best entry point Metro sells and one of the cheapest legitimate unlimited plans anywhere, given taxes are included and you're on T-Mobile's own network rather than an MVNO. The conditions are fair (new line, bring a phone, pay six months up front) and the step-up afterwards is only five dollars. The real limitation is hotspot: there is none, and if you tether you need the $30 tier instead.

Consider instead: Metro $30. Ten dollars more a month adds a 10GB hotspot, more than Metro's own $50 tier includes, and it's available to any customer, not just new ones.
