Cricket Sensible 10GB Review
Cricket's only capped tier — 10GB on AT&T's network with taxes included, and a 128 Kbps cliff waiting at the end of it.

How Cricket Sensible 10GB Scores
We scored Cricket Sensible 10GB against the same four pillars we use for every plan. Here’s how it broke down.
Pricing: $5 short of a much better plan
$30/mo with AutoPay, taxes included, and $35 for the first month. That's an honest all-in price, and Cricket deserves credit for quoting it that way while Straight Talk and Total Wireless don't.
The problem is one row up the ladder. Select Unlimited is $35/mo and unlimited. Five dollars removes the 10GB cap, the 128 Kbps cliff and the $10-per-gigabyte overage. There is no usage pattern where paying $30 for 10GB beats paying $35 for unlimited.

Final Verdict
The weakest plan in Cricket's lineup and the clearest skip on this site. Everything good about it — AT&T coverage, included taxes, retail support — is also true of Select Unlimited at $35, which has no cap, no 128 Kbps cliff and no $10 overage. The only case for Sensible is wanting a hard usage ceiling for a child's line or a work phone, and even then the throttle is severe enough to make that a poor way to enforce it.

What happens after 10GB on Cricket Sensible?
Speeds drop to 128 Kbps for the rest of the billing cycle — slow enough that messaging works and little else does. Alternatively you can buy more data at $10 per gigabyte.
Is Cricket Sensible 10GB worth it?
Rarely. Select Unlimited costs $5 more and is unlimited with no overage charges, so Sensible only makes sense if you specifically want a hard usage ceiling on the line.
Does Cricket Sensible include hotspot?
No. It has no hotspot allowance and no paid add-on option. Hotspot starts at Smart Unlimited, which includes 15GB.
Are taxes included in the $30 price?
Yes. Cricket includes taxes and fees in its advertised prices. The rate requires AutoPay, and the first month costs $35 rather than $30.
Does Sensible 10GB work in Mexico and Canada?
No. Usage in Mexico and Canada is included on Smart Unlimited and Supreme Unlimited only. Sensible includes unlimited calls and texts from the US to both countries, but no service while you're there.
