Consumer Cellular's entry plan is expensive for what it carries: 1GB at roughly $25 all-in is well off the market rate. It's justifiable for exactly one reason: the phone support is genuinely good, and for someone who will call and needs a person who helps, that's worth real money. If nobody in the household will ever ring customer service, this is the wrong plan.

Consider instead: Consumer Cellular Unlimited 50+. If the account holder is 50 or over, the Unlimited 50+ plan is $35 for unlimited data, only $15 more than this 1GB plan, and far better value.
